The Session Notes interface needed to balance comprehensive data capture with ease of use in often challenging outdoor environments. The hotspot annotation feature presented unique challenges around precision and recall. Our solution enables anglers to drop markers on key areas of location photos with custom annotations, using a combination of gesture controls and visual cues that work effectively even in bright outdoor conditions.
